Recently, the “World's First Full Dynamic Pressure Air Bearing Industrialization Achievement Release Conference” was successfully held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing's Shougang Park. This event marks a major breakthrough in China's ultra-precision manufacturing sector, breaking through long-standing foreign technological barriers and achieving independent control and industrial application of full dynamic pressure air bearing technology.
As a core component in high-precision equipment manufacturing, full-dynamic pressure air bearings feature zero contact, wear-free operation, and high precision, earning them the reputation as the “crown jewel” of the bearing industry. For years, this technology remained constrained by international monopolies and export restrictions, posing a critical bottleneck for China's strategic industries such as aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing.
The industrialized achievements unveiled today represent the culmination of 25 years of dedicated research by the Beijing Pujian Air Bearing Technology Application Research Institute and the Beijing Pujian Composite Materials Application Technology Research Institute. Through strategic collaborations with partners across the industrial chain, the project team overcame comprehensive technical challenges spanning innovative configuration design, core material development, and ultra-precision manufacturing processes, thereby filling a critical gap in domestic industrialization.
Based on core full-dynamic pressure air bearing technology, the launch event unveiled two innovative products: the Pujian AI Computer Supercomputing Server Cooling Module and the Ultra-High-Speed Micro Blower. The former addresses data center cooling efficiency and noise issues by providing an efficient, quiet, and energy-saving cooling solution. The latter features high rotational speed and compact size, enabling broad application in high-end sectors such as aerospace and medical equipment.
The event gathered experts, scholars, and industry representatives from research institutes, trade associations, and industrial chain enterprises. Keynote speeches were delivered by distinguished guests including Wu Zhongze, former Vice Minister of Science and Technology; Wu Suoning, Advisor to the Information Economy Expert Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and Lu Jun, Vice President of the Application Innovation Committee of the Internet Society of China. Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences provided guidance, while representatives from relevant enterprises such as CETC Semiconductor and Antai Technology attended to engage in in-depth discussions on technological innovation and industrial development.
A strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held during the event, where multiple upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain established partnerships to jointly advance the industrial application and market promotion of fully dynamic pressure air bearing technology, thereby contributing to the establishment of a high-end manufacturing industry alliance.
Luo Lifeng, President of Pujian Research Institute, stated that this achievement marks a significant milestone in China's independent innovation within high-precision manufacturing. Moving forward, the institute will deepen technological R&D, expand application scenarios, and drive collaborative innovation across the industrial chain to contribute to China's advancement from a “manufacturing giant” to a “manufacturing powerhouse.”
The successful launch event showcases China's latest breakthroughs in high-end manufacturing and injects new momentum into global industrial upgrading.
